Gemini now surfaces cards inside your conversations, so a friend asking about your flight pulls up the booking with live on-time status attached. Suggestions also appear to save an event to Calendar, a restaurant to Maps or a membership number to Wallet, and your lock screen will start naming the venue you have walked into once that preview feature reaches you.
Sign-to-text arrives in Gboard using Google DeepMind's Sign Language-to-Text model, letting signers compose messages by signing rather than typing. Live Translate now dubs video and podcast audio in real time on-device through Tensor G6, so foreign-language YouTube stops needing subtitles.

The price deserves a closer look before you pre-order. The Pixel 10 arrived at $799 for 128GB, so the Pixel 11 asks $100 more while doubling the base storage, which works out to roughly half the cost per gigabyte on the entry model.
It should be noted that Google's own claims arrive with footnotes worth reading. The line about Pixel's AI experience having the most privacy protection on a phone rests on a Counterpoint Research scorecard that Google commissioned itself, measured against the iPhone 17 Pro, Galaxy S26 Ultra and a few others.

Google was clearer elsewhere, confirming that the lock screen place insights launch in preview rather than general release. What it did not say is how granular HiLight's customization gets, and that is the question deciding whether the light turns out useful or decorative.

What I want to try first
HiLight is the trick I keep circling back to, and I say that as someone who has spent years quietly mourning the notification light. The version Google described does more than we expected, though it still only pays off if you are the kind of person who leaves a phone face down.
