Amazon is incredibly selling one Pixel Watch 5 model at a hefty $100 discount all of a sudden
This first-of-a-kind Pixel Watch 5 promotion has basically come out of nowhere, making Google's latest in-house timepiece actually appealing for a change.

But what if I were to tell you that you can get a 4G LTE-enabled version with a 41mm case at the same price as a Wi-Fi-only Pixel Watch 5 model? That sounds pretty outlandish, yet it's true, at least for a (presumably) limited time and for an Obsidian color option only.
This is discounted by $100 from a $499.99 list price, and although you can still buy a cheaper Pixel Watch 4 with built-in LTE support, Amazon's first-of-a-kind Pixel Watch 5 deal finally makes Google's newest in-house Wear OS device seem worth your time and hard-earned money.

Yes, the Pixel Watch 5 does look quite similar to its predecessor at first glance, but no, the two intelligent timepieces are most definitely not identical twins. That's because the newer wearable packs a slightly faster processor, as well as more memory and internal storage space, thus guaranteeing a smoother overall experience in most day-to-day user operations.
The biggest weakness remains the battery life, which is however not quite as bad as long-time Wear OS users might remember from a few years back, and Google also has a major problem with Samsung's Galaxy Watch 9. That thing uses an even better chipset than the Pixel Watch 5, and after its latest discount, is only $30 costlier in a 4G LTE-capable 40mm variant... with $50 Samsung Store credit also included.
