Tray of iPhone 7 camera modules photographed from inside Foxconn?
A new image of what is alleged to be a tray full of camera modules for the Apple iPhone 7 has surfaced this morning. The photo was one of two tweeted by a Twitter subscriber with the handle @the_malignant. The first picture showed a tray of food following a consumed cafeteria-style meal. A bowl and a cup with the Foxonn logo on it can be clearly seen, and our thought is that this frame was snapped to prove that the image of the iPhone 7 camera modules was snapped from inside the contract manufacturer's gates.
The tweet also mentioned that mass production of the iPhone 7 "has started," at Foxconn. Last month, we passed along a tweet reporting that mass production of the 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 7 had begun at Pegatron. The latter will be assembling the iPhone 7 only, with production of both the iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus entrusted to Foxconn.
From previously leaked pictures, schematics, sketches and renders, it appears that the camera lens on the iPhone 7 will be larger than the one seen on past iPhone models. As for the iPhone 7 Plus, we expect to see a dual camera set up on the back of that phone.
