Television ad for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in Taiwan hints at waterproof build and August 5th launch

A new 15-second ad for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been posted on social media by Samsung Taiwan. For the entire length of the commercial, we see bubbles floating upward with the gurgling sound they make heard in the background. Obviously, this is another hint that the Galaxy Note 7 will be the first in the series to feature an IP rating.

This is the second television ad for the phablet that we've passed along in the last three days. The previous spot, a 30-second commercial, also prominently featured a hint that the Galaxy Note 7 will be waterproof. That commercial was made for the Korean market. We expect the phone to come with IP68 certification. That means that the phablet can be submerged in up to 5-feet of water for as long as 30-minutes, and emerge unscathed.

The commercial for the Taiwan market also says that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be launching on August 5th. The unit will be unveiled on August 2nd at Samsung's Unpacked event in New York City. Click on the video at the top of this story to view the ad in its entirety. As we said, it is only 15-seconds long and no, it is not in English.
