Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1 launching across the globe this month
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 quietly appeared up for pre-order on US retailer Negri Electronics, suddenly resurrected after nearly five months since it was unveiled at MWC in February. And now, Samsung has finally confirmed that the Note 10.1, a tablet with stylus support built deep into the system, will roll out globally this month.
Meanwhile, all the rumors we’ve heard about the device getting bumped up to a quad-core processor turned out true and below you can find the full spec sheet. The highlights include a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. But the feature that will lure most people is probably the content creation experience - you can split the screen into two and multitask much more effectively. The built-in stylus is also great for sketching and note taking.

We are also hearing the price will be set at 479 euro (around $600) in Europe, but there devices usually cost more than in the United States. Our guess for the US price of the Note 10.1 would be $479. That's based on previous devices like the new iPad that costs 499 euro in Europe (equalling $617), but in the States it's much cheaper at $499.

Featuring its advanced 6.5mm S Pen, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is optimised for the creation of personalised and expressive content in the most natural and intuitive way. The S Pen's feel and functionality are specifically designed for an optimal experience on the 10.1-inch screen. The S Pen is embedded directly in the device and, when removed, automatically launches specially optimised applications, including S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe® Photoshop® Touch, and Polaris Office.
Alternatively, people can easily set their preferred application to be launched instantly. For example, S Note can be launched instantly when the S Pen is taken out from the device. Owners can also tap the screen twice while pressing the S Pen button for quick S Note access via the S Note-dedicated widget, which can be easily moved anywhere on the display, never hindering or obstructing creativity or productivity.
The S Note is a unique tool that enables notes and sketches to be combined with other digital content in ready-to-use templates.
