Samsung Omnia II is getting a late advertising treatment with basketball star

Months after Samsung released the Behold II for T-Mobile, we just recently started to see some major advertising campaigns happening for the Android powered handset. Similar to that, Samsung Mobile is also doing the same thing with the Windows Mobile powered Samsung Omnia II for Verizon. This time around though, they've employed basketball superstar Lamar Odom to star in the advertisement that shows off the Swype keyboard for faster typing – which of course he flawlessly demos without a hitch. The new campaign started to air on March 18 and will be featured during the College Basketball Championships through local CBS stations and web sites. In addition, Lamar Odom shows off the Samsung Omnia II's bright screen and lightning quick speeds while running Windows Mobile. It's almost hard to imagine that commercials for the device is just coming about now – they really could've done this a while ago, but we suppose it's better now than never at all.
