Behold – the phone magnet… or the magnet phone – it’s your call actually. The new Samsung Magnet A257 is now officially available for purchase through select AT&T stores and the carrier’s online shop. This orange-black QWERTY phone can be yours for just $19, of course, with a two-year contract and after $30 mail-in rebate. Congrats to those of you who have patiently waited for it. Now, let’s go over the spec list. The Samsung Magnet A257 is a basic phone, equipped with a front-facing five-row QWERTY keyboard and a 2.2-inch screen with 176x220 pixel resolution and 65k color support. It also has a modest VGA camera, MP3 ringtones, up to 500 phonebook entries and Bluetooth 2.0.

AT&T also offers quite similar GoPhone a solution - the Samsung A177. Honestly, we just can’t find any difference between these two, except for the pitch black color of the A177 and slightly larger D-pad on the Magnet. The Samsung A177 is available at a price of $99.99 without a contract.
