The Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Yesterday, we told you that Sprint customers with the HTC EVO 3D were getting their handset updated to Android 4.0. Today, the focus remains on Sprint as its version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch, receives its Ice Cream Sandwich update. The actual Android build coming to the device is Android 4.0.4 and is software version IMM761.FF18.

Of the three major U.S. carriers that offered the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Sprint version was arguably the best. It was the only model that offered both the 4.52 inch screen and the dual-core 1.2GHz Samsung Exynos processor. The AT&T version of the phone was equipped with the same dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos processor, but had a smaller 4.3 inch screen. And the T-Mobile variant of the phone had the same 4.52 inch screen as Sprint's model, but was powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
