New Motorola Moto X size comparison: against Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 4, LG G3, Xperia Z3

Motorola launched the Moto X last year as the different Android flagship. The original Moto X had a comparatively small, 4.7" display and a much more compact body than all of its rivals. Motorola pointed out that this was intentional: it wanted its flagship to be easily operable with a single hand, something that you could not say for most of its rivals. Many even compared the original 4.7" Moto X with the 4" iPhone as Motorola managed to make a device with small bezels and comparable dimensions.

This year, the new Moto X is here and it is no longer small: it has a sizeably larger, 5.2" display, and while it is still surprisingly compact for its display size, it is not exactly ideal for use with a single hand.

At the same time, it's worth paying special attention to the nice curvy back of the Moto X+1. While technically, you'd see that the phone is listed as being 9.9mm thick, that's only the size at the thickest point. At the edges, the thickness drops down to a very slim 3.8mm, which makes it much more comfortable to hold the device as it lays comfortably in the hand.
