Live images of the Samsung Pixon12

At the beginning of the month, Samsung announced its first 12-megapixel camera phone, the Pixon12. While the specifications of the handset are not a secret, images weren´t exactly abundant. That’s why we are glad to show you a number of live images, taken at the CommunicAsia 2009. The design shots give us a closer look at details of the body, like the leather coating on the lower back side, the microSDHC slot on the left and the microUSB port on the top.

As for the interface, the Pixon12 clearly runs TouchWiz 2.0 interface, with the main menu divided into three tabs, similarly to the Samsung Jet, which we have recently previewed. Fortunately, images of the camera interface have also been taken, demonstrating the monstrous 4000x3000 (12MP) pixel resolution option. The interface itself looks familiar – easy to use, but nothing fancy. There’s also an option to shoot in a wide 4000x2400 pixel format. Of course, there are lots of different shooting modes, scene settings etc. Three image samples have also been uploaded, obviously taken with the Pixon12’s camera, so go ahead and check them out, but still keep in mind this might not be a final version of the phone.
