Back in July, the Samsung Galaxy Stellar was listed on a rebate form. In the time since the device was first brought to our attention, nothing new about the model has been discovered. That is, until Friday when a leaked ad revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Stellar will be offered by Verizon for $99.99 with a signed two-year contract. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the device to pass along but there are some interesting questions.
The Samsung Galaxy Stellar has a Starter mode
The ad mentions an "Easy-to-use Starter mode" whatever that might be. We guess that since it's easy-to-use, well, we can't be terribly worried about it. The ad also mentions how users of the Samsung Galaxy Stellar can stay entertained with "Amazon Apps". Why not mention the Google Play Store? Is this a paid promotional message from Amazon, or is the Google Play Store blocked on the phone?
With the appearance of the leaked ad, we probably won't have terribly long to find out the answers to our questions. The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy Stellar has gone from a name on a rebate form to something a little more tangible.
Mint Mobile is now allowing you to get whichever plan you like for either three, six, or 12 months for just $15/mo. If you go for the six-month unlimited service, for instance, you'll now have to pay just $90 upfront instead of $210.
