Battle of the Browsers: Gold to iPhone, Silver for HD2 and DROID gets the Bronze

German blog Areamobile decided to match up 7 of today's hottest smartphones (conspicuous by its absence was the Nexus One) to determine which of the models had the fastest browser. Each phone was required to down load the same page, obviously, and coming in last with the slowest time of 12 seconds was the BlackBerry Storm2. Slightly better with a reading of 11 seconds, the Nokia N97 mini. Number 5 with a time of 10 seconds, was the Palm Pre. The Maemo powered Nokia 900 was number 4. As for the top 3 units, the bronze medal for third place goes to the Motorola DROID with a time of 8 seconds. Silver medal is awarded to the HTC HD2 with its time of 6 seconds. Finally, the Gold medal goes to the iPhone 3GS with a time slightly faster than the HD2. Will the handset start doing Wheaties commercials?
