AT&T bound Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom image leaks

If the Samsung Galaxy Camera had everything you wanted in a smart device, except the phone part, then the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is your ticket. Up until now however, it was not a forgone conclusion that the S4 Zoom would make an appearance stateside.

Based on the leaked image from the ever-reliable @evleaks, the Galaxy S4 Zoom will indeed find its way to AT&T. There is no pricing information, nor do we know when we can expect the Zoom to make an appearance at your local AT&T retail location. Given the timing of this leak though, we expect it will be available in time for the holiday shopping season.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom is akin to a compact camera with smartphone functionality, bridging a gap between the Galaxy S4, S4 mini and Galaxy Camera. If you have read and watched our review of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, you will recall it does a fine job of shooting high-quality pictures as well as provide good value as a “converged” device of sorts.

The AT&T version of the device will obviously have some AT&T sourced apps (aka bloatware) that encourage data usage to back up your media, like AT&T Locker, which provides 5GB of free cloud storage (though AT&T has been known to offer promotions providing quite a bit more space from time to time). That may come in handy as the 16MP camera with 10x optical zoom does a fine job of capturing the memories.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom was retailing for roughly £370 in the UK before taxes (about $589). While no pricing is yet known, that will probably translate to $199 or less on a two-year contract or mid-$20 range on AT&T Next. Will the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom make your holiday shopping list?
